The Do's & Dont's in RPR

DO :

1. Log on to our Facebook Group / Blog / Website to update yourself with our promotions and news live from KT / RPR.

2. Make your booking early, and pay early to secure your room!
- We may have some customers who book last minute and it's kinda frustrating when you can't get to be together with everyone when there's not enough rooms. So book in advance especially during public holidays and damnned school holidays!

3. Upon leaving to Kuala Terengganu, make sure you wear shorts.

- The journey to the island, if by speed boat may be somewhat welcoming with the splashing sea water (at times). And also, when you touch down to the island, it would be so much convenient to walk on sand with shorts! If you suay suay kena the sea water while you're wearing a pair of long trousers, then hailat.

4. Treat RPR like your own home, with respect I mean.
- Preserve the beauty within the resort (and also the public beach) so that you can come back with the same beauty as always.

5. Clear your tables after meals.

- It would be a great help if customers would kindly clear their dishes after every meal possible so that the next customers who would dine in at the canteen / tables near the pub etc. would be able to enjoy their meals with comfort. You wouldn't wanna have your meal with some other people's chicken bones left on the table would you? ;)

6. Snorkelling equipments are there for your safety, espiecially the goddamned life jackets.
- To those who do not know how to swim, life jackets are definitely essential and would be something like their life savours. To customers who know how to swim, please try to use the life jackets coz you wouldn't be able to predict the current underwater. Currents might be strong at times and if you don't have the preparation for that, it's gonna be a tough time swimming from an end to another end.

7. Always listen to your snorkelling guides.

- Briefing upon snorkelling will guide you to the knowledge of using the masks and life jackets properly. It would be quite a fuss if water gets into your mask or if you do not know how to inhale with the snorkel. So do listen to them with full concentration to enjoy your snorkelling trip! All we want for you is to have fun. And follow them during trips because they will introduce you with the underwater creatures / corals you may not know they existed.

8. Visit the Baby Sharks. They won't bite!
- To those of you who have not been to Redang, the Baby Shark bay is just around the corner. Seriously, they don't bite! No accidents of baby shark attacks have happened before, and it will never happen. Be confident and well assured about that. If you manage to see all of them, there is a group of 6-7 of them and you can brag about that to your friends, how cool!

9. Rent the underwater camera from the receptionist. It's worth every of your penny.
- How often would you visit Redang? Snap funny underwater pictures as memories. Capture the cute living animals you see underwater. Show it to your friends and make them come again with you. A CD copy of your pictures will be provided, and if you want to frame them on cups or such, ask for it! (Extra charges may apply)

10. PARTY YOUR NIGHT, DON'T STAY IN THE ROOM.
- That's part of of your reason to have fun. Disco starts at 10:30p.m. Experience a different disco style where no formal, shoes, or even shirts are needed! Say what? Yes. Sweat all you can and feel comfortable with it. Make friends in the pub, and maybe you might get laid? But please remember your safety precautions ;)

DONT :

1. Litter. The dustbins are there for a reason.
- Keep the area clean as possible. More and more people are flooding Redang Island and it's gonna be hard for us all to keep the cleanliness of the resort and the beach. So lend your hand, put some patience, and keep clean. Feed the dustbins with some rubbish will ya?

2. Throw anything into the sea, except for breads for the fishes.

- Plastic bags, especially, are seen by turtles as jelly fishes. As humanly, they will die if they eat any sort of non-jelly-fish objects. Breads are available at the reception, if you feed the fishes, a flock of them will gather around you in a flash!

3. Touch or step on corals.

- Some snorkelling sites may have shallow corals or rocks where it is within hand's reach. Touching them may result them to die. THIS IS TRUE. And also for your own safety. Some corals are extremely slippery and it may cut you at times, especially in Marine Park. Always be cautious. Poisonous corals may cause burns too. Underwater infections are harder to heal than land cuts.

4. Leave the air conds on when you're not in the room.
- We generate our electricity by gen-sets. Fuel and maintanence used for the 2 big idiots are kinda costly. So help us by saving our electricity? And also, this keeps the green house warming away. Let other resorts die with heat. Keep RPR cool!

5. Apply too much sunblock.

- Sunblock is definitely important. But apply moderately, coz sunblock will harm the corals! We have the full article on our
website already. Think of it this way, if you don't go home with a sunblock, where's the major proof that you have had fun in RPR?

6. Lock yourselves in the room.
- There are lots of things you can do outside the room. Volleyball, card games, congkak, mahjong (oooh my favourite), sight seeing, eating etc. Enjoy your stay and make use of your 3D2N packages :D

7. Feed squirrels with the food provided for customers.
- As mentioned, the bread and biscuits are for customers, don't waste them on the squirrels. They have their own food, but they just wanna get cheeky with us. They are quite fake one loh actually. And unlike the cute baby sharks, these squirrels might bite can!

8. Bring shoes into the island.
- There's no point of wearing shoes in Redang. It's not like Langkawi or some other islands with concrete roads or such. Slippers or barefooted are the best solutions. Sand might get captured in your shoes and it's gonna be quite a big annoyance.

With love,

Little Rascal

(I'm actually quite decent one ok. Not like the previous picture :P)
